Vintage Apothecary Kombo Butter Therapeutic Cream
Ingredients
- 16 g (40%) Baraka Kombo Butter
- 8 g (20%) Baraka Shea Butter
- 8 g (20%) Borage Seed Oil
- 4 g (10%) Evening Primrose Oil
- 4 g (10%) Castor Oil (Arnica infused)
- 5 drops Cajeput (Melaleuca cajeputi / Melaleuca leucodendron) Essential Oil
- 2 drops Ginger (Zingber officinale) Essential Oil
- 2 drops Lavandin (Lavandula hybrida, Lavandula x intermedia) Essential Oil
- 1 drop Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) Essential Oil
*Makes approximately 50 ml of cream (pictured)
Directions
Use a double boiler method (warm but not hot) to soften the Baraka shea butter or keep shea at room temperature and whip to get a creamy consistency.
Add Baraka kombo butter to the softened shea butter and stir/whip until fully combined.
In a separate container, combine carrier and essential oils.
Add carrier/essential oil blend to the Baraka shea/kombo butter base and stir until fully combined.
Transfer into container of choice (100 ml container pictured).
Can use immediately or can be put in a cool place for a stiffer consistency.
Use
Keep container at room temperature for softer consistency, or store in a cool place for stiffer consistency.
Massage a small amount onto sore area every 2-3 hours or as needed. Avoid strenuous activity immediately after application.
Following application, allow at least 15 minutes of relaxing the area. Can continue to massage if it feels helpful.
Use within 6 months.
Caution
Not recommended for use on children under 16 years of age.
Do not use on broken skin or on/near face.
Patch test recommended prior use. In case of irritation, discontinue use.
Topical use only, not intended for ingestion. Keep out of reach of children.
