Kombo butter is made from the seeds of a tropical West African tree called Pycnanthus angolensis, which is also known as the "African nutmeg". The fruits had been going to waste but now Agnes Amoah, the first farmer to sell kombo nuts to Baraka, has encouraged other women in her community to collect them too. This helps to provide a source of income and has also prevented the kombo nut trees from being cut for timber. The tall trees provide natural shade and ecosystem biodiversity for cocoa crops.

Kombo butter is a brownish-blue color with a thick buttery texture that easily absorbs into the skin. It provides incredible benefits for dry or irritated skin, particularly when combined with other butters (e.g. palm kernel, shea, or cocoa) and carrier oils. Kombo butter can be used directly on the skin or with essential oils and other butters. It works great in balms, butters, soaps and more.

I haven't been able to try the Kombo butter yet but it sounds amazing. I am very excited to give this a try, especially as I have muscle pain quite often. Will see if it works and going to try the recipes posted on Baraka's website.
I blended with Shea butter for a balm to use a night to help with pain. It’s only been a day so can’t speak to any pain relief yet but my skin feels nice :) I added Frankincense EO for extra boost.

If you check the other reviews, many notice pain relief immediately, others take longer and some don't notice it at all. I used kombo butter to formulate a balm for pain and sore muscles and so far everyone I gave samples to have had relief be it arthritis or knee pain or migraines.
Highly recommended as an anti inflammatory balm.
