- Shea butter: 0.128 oz NaOH/oz of oil
-Step-by-Step Calculations:
- Shea butter (10 oz): 10 oz × 0.128 = 1.28 oz NaOH
- Total Lye Amount: 1.28 oz NaOH
Goat’s Milk Calculation:
- Assuming a goat’s milk-to-lye ratio of 2:1 (a typical range for cold process soap): 1.28 oz NaOH × 2 = 2.56 oz goat’s milk
