Too many coconut plantations and too much agriculture worldwide is done in a monoculture setting. One plant. Nothing more. The theory was it is easier to manage and more productive.

We believe that it is generally more destructive of land and habitat and very inefficient from a whole system perspective.

Baraka Coconut Oil is produced on plantations that practice inter-cropping. The families who tend the plantations are encouraged to grow food crops in and amongst the coconut. It makes the land more productive, helps combat food insecurity and is just better.
