Your Impact on Women, Children and Families

Do you know your impact? Every purchase you make has a direct impact on women, children and families in rural Ghanaian communities where Baraka’s butters, oils and other products are sourced and produced.. You hear us say it, but do you really know?

Through your purchases of hand-made, community sourced products and ingredients, women in over 3,500 households were able to have the dignity of income, providing many with a substantial portion of their annual income, and directly affecting the more than 12,000 children who live in those homes.

Your incredible generosity in leaving nearly $4,500 in tips has made even more impact possible. What’s more, your purchase decisions impacted the 13 of 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

We are honoured and privileged to be part of this impact chain, linking businesses, hand-crafters and DIY’ers from North America and around the world, directly with the women who produce and make their ingredients. This bridge that connects allows us to live out our founding belief that business can and should be a force for good, as well as an effective steward of the environment, at the same time as it pursues profit and shareholder value.
